FMLC Live Crowdfund Project!

FMLC has just launched a crowdfunding initiative through Spacehive with the aim of raising funds to conduct a number of live events in the local area over the next 12 months.

FMLC want to put on a series of live events that will serve as educational opportunities for students, a chance to build a library of digital educational content and entertainment for the local public.

What we’ll deliver:

• A minimum of 4 Live events in 2025 that will be free to access
• Purchase of all necessary equipment to deliver the events and educate students on the use of the equipment
• An accessible repository of educational content, recorded both at and after the events

Why it’s a great idea:

The project will give exposure to ambitious music students to the real world of music production, allowing them access to aspects of the music economy almost impossible to reproduce in the classroom. It will offer hands on experience, networking and practical exposure to essential skills without requiring them to have the pre-existing investment required to gain access to expensive kit and event organisation. It will also raise the profile of live music in the local area without venues or musical acts having to foot the bill on a speculative endeavour. Acts will be guaranteed fair pay for their time and performance and venues can offer customers a free event, leaving more customer money for injection into the local economy through the purchase of merchandise, food and drink.
